Privacy
Crimson Front collects as little as possible. There are no ads, no tracking scripts and no third-party analytics on this site.
On this website
- Suggestions: we store the title, description and the (optional) name you enter.
- Votes: a random, anonymous cookie (
cf_voter) remembers which ideas you voted for, so you can't vote twice by accident. - Abuse protection: instead of your IP address we store a salted, one-way hash of it with suggestions and votes, and count requests briefly in memory to stop spam.
In the game
- Update check: when the game starts it asks this site whether a newer version exists, sending your current version and operating system.
- Commander name: if you choose one, we store the name and a hashed secret key; the key itself only lives on your computer.
- Community maps: maps you publish are stored with your commander name and shown publicly. You can delete your maps from the game at any time.
Everything online is optional: without a connection the game works exactly the same, just without updates and community maps.
Questions or removal
Want your name, maps or suggestions removed? Post a note on the suggestions board or contact the developer, and we'll take care of it.
